The RAPIDGate® Program from Eid Passport®, Inc. provides a complete identification and access management solution for vendor, supplier, service provider, contractor, and subcontractor personnel entering highly secure facilities. The Program integrates registration, identity authentication, background screening, badging, and access management utilizing biometrics and reporting. As a result, the Program strengthens facility security while streamlining access protocols for personnel conducting official business at the facilities.
The innovative RAPIDGate Program is currently deployed or in deployment at U.S. Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard installations.
- Enhanced facility security through identity authentication, background screening, and access management.
- Streamlined access for authorized personnel, who save time through improved access protocols at secure facilities.
- Validation of personnel access privileges to the highly secure facility.
- Biometric verification of identity at access points.
- Reports of ingress and egress activity at access points.
- Reduced risk to people, facilities, and assets.
The RAPIDGate Program improves security and streamlines access through two integrated processes: registration & screening, and access management & reporting.
Registration & Screening: Personnel at vendor, supplier, and service provider companies register for the Program at on-site Registration Stations. The Program screens each registrant to identify disqualifying events, including felonies, all sexual offenses, and listing on terrorist watch lists. Qualifying personnel receive a fraud-resistant RAPIDGate Badge, which may serve as a credential for access to multiple RAPIDGate facilities. Badgeholders are re-screened approximately every 92 days.
Access management & reporting: Security personnel at participating RAPIDGate facilities scan the badge to identify company personnel and confirm access privileges in seconds. Biometric verification helps prevent unauthorized use of a badge. The Program maintains records of all personnel accesses and provides facilities with monthly activity reports.
Eid Passport delivers the RAPIDGate Program as a turnkey solution: Eid Passport installs and maintains all equipment, and provides account management and call center services to manage ongoing operations. The company tailors each RAPIDGate Program deployment to the access protocols of individual facilities, working with facility security to improve existing security measures. Moreover, the RAPIDGate Program is complementary to and consistent with the Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) and the Federal Information Processing Standard 201 (FIPS 201). The RAPIDGate Program contains products and services subject to U.S. Patent No. 6,779,721.
In operation since 2004, the RAPIDGate Program is protecting Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security installations today. Thousands of businesses count on the Program to ensure that their employees meet the standards of participating RAPIDGate installations, and that their employees can quickly and efficiently access those installations to get their work done. At the same time, the Program has helped government security personnel quickly and accurately manage access for the civilian workforce on which they depend.
